How are claims verified?

Every claim is linked to at least one primary source: a declassified FOIA document, a court filing, an SEC filing, a congressional transcript, or a peer-reviewed paper. Claims are labeled Proven Right, Partial, Disputed, Debunked, or Under Review based on the evidence.

What does 'Proven Right' mean?

'Proven Right' means a claim that was dismissed as conspiracy theory has since been confirmed by an official, authoritative source — such as a government admission, a declassified document, a court ruling, or a scientific study.

They Knew is an independent, community-driven project. Users can submit claims, vote on accuracy, and contribute evidence. Editorial review and primary-source verification are handled by the editorial team following the published methodology.
